Nonprofit Accounting, Form 990 & Audit Readiness

Fund accounting done properly, grants tracked to the dollar, a Form 990 that tells your story accurately - and an audit season that runs on schedule.

Accounting that protects the mission

Nonprofit accounting is its own discipline: net assets with and without donor restrictions, conditional versus unconditional contributions, grant compliance, functional expense allocation and a public tax return - the Form 990 - that donors and watchdogs actually read. Errors here do not just create audit findings; they erode the trust your organization runs on.

We bring audit-firm rigor to nonprofit books: month-to-month fund accounting, grant and restriction tracking, board-ready reporting, 990 preparation and hands-on support through your annual audit or single audit.

What’s included

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you perform nonprofit audits yourselves?

We provide assurance services and, separately, audit-readiness support. For organizations we keep the books for, independence rules mean the annual audit is performed by another firm - and we make that audit dramatically easier by having everything reconciled and documented before fieldwork.

Our last 990 was filed late and it shows. Can you fix that?

Yes. We rebuild the underlying books first - the 990 is only as good as the accounting behind it - then prepare and file current and, where needed, amended returns, and set up a calendar so it never happens again.

We are small. Can we afford this?

Fixed fees are quoted to your size and complexity, and our packages start at $295/month. For many small nonprofits, that is less than the cost of one audit finding.
